Run/Walk for Life (RWFL) is a scientific programme that has been successfully run for over 30 years. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. We help members improve their fitness level, and promote weight-loss and stress relief.
Our programme is tailor-made for the individual and is designed to ensure that exercise is comfortable, enjoyable, and beneficial. All you need to start is to wear comfortable exercise clothes (T-shirt, shorts or tracksuit and proper sports/running shoes).
We recognise the important role that eating correctly plays in weight reduction and exercise success. You can get a discounted membership for EatForLife, RWFL’s online eating programme, which is scientifically designed and supported by our in-house dieticians.
We help members set personal goals and reward them with medals or certificates for achieving them. You will receive a monthly report that documents your personal progress, fitness levels and kilojoules burnt.
RWFL also caters for more advanced runners and walkers. We have our own RWFL Athletic Club, one of the largest and fastest growing in the country, and we participate in the Athletics South Africa (ASA) Gauteng Walkers league races. A RWFL club is currently at the top of the league table and RWFL Emmarentia is currently in 6th position out of more than 50 clubs! Yay!!
